We loved exploring the city of Pittsburgh with Jim & Nicole for their holiday engagement shoot! We checked out the Holiday Market in Market Square, snapped a few along the city streets & Christmas display windows, and captured more in front of the impressive tree at the PPG skating rink, as a nod to the Christmas tree that Jim proposed to Nicole in front of last year at Universal Studios! You’ll even find a surprise reverse-proposal snuck into this photo shoot, as Nicole wanted to ask Jim if HE would be HER “forever” <3
Read MoreFor our first photo shoot of 2023, we got to enjoy a sunny (and windy) Winter day capturing the love & laughter between Darrin & Brittany. A little fancy in an elegant dress down on the docks (still rocking the boots!), then they relaxed with a fun & flirty snowball fight, and ended by busting out the guitar for some sweet serenading shots <3 When we were planning their shoot, Brittany said: “Sometimes Darrin plays his guitar for me and I fall in love with him all over again!“, so I knew their photo shoot needed its own guitar solo ;)
Read MoreWe always love including a bride + groom’s favorite hobbies as a couple, like Kayaking. But what we love even more for engagement shoots is having FUN with our couples! At the very beginning of this session, Kyle told Sam & I, that if nothing else, he’ll at least make us laugh. And he wasn’t kidding! I remember laughing SO HARD with Kyle & Sarah that I was doubled over from my sides hurting!! It takes skill to shoot through the pain ;) But totally worth it for how fun & adorable these two were together!
Read MoreJosh + Sierra have been together for three years, and one of their favorite date activities is Mini Golf. So we had fun plans to take lifestyle photos at a local mini golf course, followed by some pretty sunset pictures. But when you find out the carnival is in town the night of your session, you ask the bride & groom if they’re up for some bonus session time in the neon lights ;) SO FUN!
Read MoreWhy s’mores for an engagement session, you ask? ;) Travis + Molly had mutual friends that are in a Christian worship band. They would cross paths at concerts and Molly had heard of what a good guy Travis is. One time, the church hosted an outdoor concert with a S’mores station! Molly had made herself a S’more and sat next to Travis to watch the show. She broke off half of the S’more, gave it to him, but then proceeded to take half of that half back, haha! After the concert, they connected and chatted the night away. So began their love story <3 Oh, and those mutual friends?? You’ll see them on the blog again this September, as the Best Man & Matron of Honor at the wedding!
Read MoreMatt + Gina had a mutual friend that just knew they would be great together and suggested the two meet sometime…as fate would have it, they ran into each other at a local restaurant. They made a coffee date before Matt went into work, but later he realized he left his credit card at the restaurant. So he asked Gina if she could grab his card and, of course, that meant they would have to get together again to exchange ;) After hearing that story, and checking out the restaurant’s website, I just knew we needed to take some of Matt + Gina’s engagement photos at Table 105!
Read MoreAs we get to know our couples and brainstorm ideas for their engagement shoot, their hobbies are something fun to discover! Many enjoy activities like hiking, picnics, and wine tastings…but when we get one as unique as Parkour, we just HAVE to incorporate it into the session! ;) For Josh & Caroline’s photo shoot, that involved climbing trees, walls, railings, and buildings, SO FUN!!
Read MoreFall is such an exciting time of year…time for sweaters, boots, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes! Which is exactly where we headed for Steve & Julia’s engagement shoot. We even made plans to start with a picnic, as a nod to the sweet way that Steve proposed on a sunrise hike with yummy baked goods Julia prepared in a picnic basket.
Read MoreOne of our favorite things about engagement sessions is getting to know our couples ahead of time and using that information as inspiration for their photo shoot…Philip & Lauren’s session was exactly that! They enjoy going to wine tastings and actually are getting married this year at a local Winery, so a wine & cheese tasting by the lake was perfect. Then after I heard Philip proposed while the two of them were painting a sunset on canvas (another one of their favorite hobbies), we decided to have a mini paint session at sunset during our shoot…and even more fun, a paint war ;)
Read MoreSometimes our couples choose to make their sessions a little more personal and bring us to their home turf! Mike & Joanna love the home they’ve made together in Pittsburgh, so we had fun exploring a local park, neighborhood, and of course those infamous yellow bridges, including one with a love lock collection!

Read MoreWhat a FUN couple for our first Engagement Session of 2020, and well worth the WAIT! We had to reschedule again & again due to that unpredictable western PA weather and, of course, due to COVID-19. So why not have a little fun with it? ;) I love the cute masks Eric & Erin brought to the shoot! And after some pre-session chatting, Erin & I thought a few props would add a little fun & personality to their photos, by representing how they met…she got a new job as a Teacher and Eric was the Aide in her classroom!
Read More“Flirt like you’re in a Hallmark Christmas Movie” ;) That’s what I told Curtis + Lauren for their engagement photos while they baked cookies! Man, was I excited for this session, adding a new option for our couples with Lifestyle Sessions…comfy, cozy at home, doing the things you love to do as a couple: playing with the dog, baking in the kitchen, cuddling on the couch, slow dancing barefoot, sipping wine or hot chocolate OR BOTH =D
Read MoreOh, I love a good prop and Justin & Kristy came well equipped for their engagement session! These two are laid-back, fun-loving, and all kinds of happy and in-love!!
Read MoreWe love exploring new locations and for this session, Tyler & Ann brought us down to their neck of the woods. To actually the exact spot that Tyler proposed! And we had their fur babies come out to play too for a bit of the session!! These two are so sweet and so in love and we can’t wait to capture all the feels next year on their wedding day!
