Yesterday’s bridal party came down the aisle on the bride & groom’s horses and with all 5 of their rescue dogs in hand. A perfect way to kick off a wedding on your family’s farm. The rest of the day had special touches throughout with private personal vows before the ceremony and a cake design that included their whole fur family!

We just HAD to get those Fall leaves in some photos ;)

For Sean, LeeAnn, and their wedding guests though, it was all about the party on the dance floor. The koozie favors pretty much summed it up, “We said the I Do’s, now it’s time for the booze”!
Read MoreAfter 17 years of shooting weddings, we have seen a lot of ceremonies & receptions with your basic flow of events. But yesterday at Kurt + Kristen’s wedding, we got to see so many meaningful & fun firsts! The first time we’ve had groomsmen huddle with the groom to make a team decision on whether he should say “I Do” or not (see the sign pictured below for their answer!) Bubble guns for thousands of bubbles as the happy couple walked up the aisle. A special time during the ceremony for both sets of parents to pray over the rings. A round robin speed round during the reception, where all the guests got to run through the line to take their photo with the couple. AND SO MUCH MORE!

Actually everything, the u-shaped necklace, the phoenix tattoo across the back, and the “Viking” hair, as the bride called it…Alicia crushed her wedding day look! And Albeno was looking pretty snazzy himself in his emerald velvet tux and matching chucks. It was all a perfect match to their vintage venue: The Historic Summit Inn.

Dog treat favors for guests’ fur babies, hand-painted Converse sneakers for the bride, a game of rock, paper, scissors to see who would say their vows first, a lock & key unity ceremony, and a front row seat reserved for the bride’s late father. The day was truly memorable!

When she got engaged last year, she reached out less than two weeks later (before even booking her venue or confirming her date) to make sure we could capture her day just like her best friends. What an honor to be asked and what an opportunity to capture stunning photos of a gorgeous bride! We are so glad we got to be a special part of your day <3

Beautiful weather for an outdoor ceremony by the water, a packed dance floor all night, ending with an epic Sparkler sendoff! But my favorite moments, hands down, were the ones unseen by most guests (until we showed them that evening with our Reception Screening, of course!) That morning, after Alexis got ready, she had 3 private First Looks with the most important men in her life: her father, Pappy, and new husband <3 Count it as another wedding shooting through tears in my eyes!!

Gorgeous blue skies, white fluffy clouds, and sunshine all day with about 5 minutes of rain during the ceremony, but that’s supposed to be good luck, right?! ;)
