Yesterday’s bridal party came down the aisle on the bride & groom’s horses and with all 5 of their rescue dogs in hand. A perfect way to kick off a wedding on your family’s farm. The rest of the day had special touches throughout with private personal vows before the ceremony and a cake design that included their whole fur family!
Read MoreWhat a simple and elegant wedding day Ron & Natasha had…the venue, the flowers, the dress, the cake, even the weather! All laid back and fun, yet still stunning! The day absolutely flew by, because it all went off without a hitch and was focused on loving this amazing couple.
Read MoreNot always the best news to get a Heat Wave advisory for your wedding day, but Greg + Hannah had the best attitude throughout the day. We kept them cool in the shade for all of their photos, let them focus on having fun with their bridal party, and relishing in that new moment as husband + wife! On a day that you’d expect forced smiles, we captured SO MUCH JOY!!
Read MoreAugust weddings are always HOT, and yesterday’s wedding was no exception! But the fun, love, and laughter from Darrin & Brittany’s bridal party made the day feel like a breeze. They are such a fun-loving couple and a true joy to be around…Sam & I loved spending the day with you two and getting to take care of you for the big day!
Read MoreI mean, come on with this dress!!! Actually everything, the u-shaped necklace, the phoenix tattoo across the back, and the “Viking” hair, as the bride called it…Alicia crushed her wedding day look! And Albeno was looking pretty snazzy himself in his emerald velvet tux and matching chucks. It was all a perfect match to their vintage venue: The Historic Summit Inn.
Read MoreSam & I met Lindsay 10 years ago when she was a bridesmaid at her dear friend, Abby’s, wedding. When she got engaged last year, she reached out less than two weeks later (before even booking her venue or confirming her date) to make sure we could capture her day just like her best friends. What an honor to be asked and what an opportunity to capture stunning photos of a gorgeous bride! We are so glad we got to be a special part of your day <3
Read MoreIn February, we captured photos of Sebastian & Chelsea’s intimate chapel ceremony, with only their immediate family in attendance. But yesterday was all about celebrating with extended family & friends! And which bride wouldn’t love a reason to wear a second dress?! ;) Their reception was filled with laughter, love, and all the laidback fun you would expect at a Summer celebration!
Read MoreWhat a gorgeous, not too hot, Summer day for this June wedding! These two high school sweethearts looked so stunning for their big day, but the love the groom had for his bride stole the show! Tears and emotions throughout the vows and beaming smiles all day long.
Read MoreWe were excited about the thought of a vineyard wedding, but just WOW, this venue blew our expectations out of the water! Lauren told me yesterday, when they toured Starr Hill Winery and saw the scenic views from the ceremony space, they were sold and I 100% agree!! And those SUNSETS…just look for yourself!!!
Read MoreToday, Tyler & Johanna celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary! This weekend, last year, they had a beautifully intimate ceremony with their closest family & friends. And yesterday, they celebrated a year of marriage with their official wedding reception! It was so special to relive & remember so many moments from Part 1 last year, including a reception replay of the highlight video we created for them last year! This year, there were unique touches, like Tyler helping Johanna get dressed this time around and the bridal party finally getting the chance to toast Tyler & Johanna’s marriage! But really, yesterday was all about having FUN at the reception, packing the dance floor and Photo Station all…night…long!!! Such a fun way to celebrate your 1st Anniversary!
Read MoreYesterday’s wedding was an unforgettable one for Matt + Alexis’ guests, no doubt! Beautiful weather for an outdoor ceremony by the water, a packed dance floor all night, ending with an epic Sparkler sendoff! But my favorite moments, hands down, were the ones unseen by most guests (until we showed them that evening with our Reception Screening, of course!) That morning, after Alexis got ready, she had 3 private First Looks with the most important men in her life: her father, Pappy, and new husband <3 Count it as another wedding shooting through tears in my eyes!!
Read MoreWOW, there are just some weddings that, as a guest, you won’t forget…and I have a feeling, Mike + Joanna’s will be one of them! There’s not much more you could have packed into their Reception, when it came to memorable moments: a classic hits song medley, including the bride’s namesake “Joanna”, for the Father Daughter dance…a kid’s dance-off contest…a live Polka band with the always fun Polish Dollar Dance (that’s the one where the groom has to fight his way through all the guests circled around the bride)…a special Sinatra celebrity impersonator appearance…and a surprise polka performance by the bride’s mom and aunts as a tribute to her Grandfather <3 The energy was electrifying and so were the groom’s and his brother’s suits they changed into for the Reception…I guess that’s what happens when your father-in-law owns the local Tux Shop! ;)
Read MoreCameron and Taylor’s day finally arrived, after a reschedule due to the pandemic. 2020 proved to be a tough year for them, as they lost multiple loved ones who would have loved to been in attendance yesterday. A filled memorial table, a special song played during the toasts that brought tears to the guests’ eyes (mine included!) and such a sweet substitute of the best man, with his father stepping in to fill the role of his son who passed away last year <3
Read MoreStephen & Courtney chose a stunning venue to have their intimate wedding ceremony yesterday!.The mansion had gorgeous places both inside and out for photos, even including a heart-shape garden! Of course we had to make that shot happen, even if it was from a second story window ;)
Read MoreHow fitting that, this Father’s Day weekend, we shot a wedding where the Dad was the source of so many sweet, emotional moments <3 After seeing the way Gina and her father laughed, cried, and embraced all throughout the wedding day, it’s no wonder that Gina does the same with her new husband. Such a good reminder that the love from a girl’s daddy will be carried throughout her life!
Read MoreJust over 3 months ago, I received a text from my bride, Sarah, who had just found out her reception venue cancelled their wedding due to the pandemic’s capacity restrictions. In her words, she was distraught and asking for any help I could provide on possible replacement venues. Within minutes, I sent her a list of local venues we have shot at, with the link to a page on our website that features day-after blog posts for each of those venues! (So helpful to be able to see how all the formal events and open dancing of an actual wedding look like in the space.)
Needless to say, Sarah was grateful for the support and the next day they secured their new venue, Luigi’s Villa. And now, the day after Andrew & Sarah’s wedding, I look at these photos and think they honestly couldn’t have ended up with a more perfect reception venue…besides the fact that the location was perfect (on the same street as the church), it also had a gorgeous chandelier, drapery, and lighting that perfectly matched the romantic ambiance Sarah envisioned for her special day. It all worked out in the end and these two love birds had a PERFECT sunshine and blue skies day!!
Read MoreAs if Dan + Yvonne didn’t have enough to deal with this year when it came to wedding planning, the weather forecast decided to throw a hurricane into the mix! And in 14 years of shooting weddings, there aren’t many times we can remember the weather calling for 70% chance of rain & thunderstorms the night before the wedding AND THEN dropping down to 20% and cloudy when we woke up the next day!! Gorgeous blue skies, white fluffy clouds, and sunshine all day with about 5 minutes of rain during the ceremony, but that’s supposed to be good luck, right?! ;)
Read MoreTyler & Ann were yet another one of our couples that had to move their Spring wedding to late Summer. While they rolled with the punches 2020 provided, they went above & beyond to care for their guests that came out to shower them in love & celebration on their big day that finally arrived!
Read MoreTyler & Johanna’s day was a perfect example of making a compromise in the face of all that’s happened in 2020. They decided to have an intimate ceremony this year and will have a full reception with family & friends next year on their 1st Anniversary…technically 1 day shy ;) No matter what our couples end up doing for their wedding, these special touches are what fill the day with love & emotion: Johanna and her sisters each wore a special piece of jewelry that was passed down from their late grandmother AND Tyler’s brother, who unfortunately couldn’t make it due to traveling circumstances, wrote a letter to the groom wishing him well on the big day <3
Read MoreIt took a LOT of rearranging and reworking their plans to make this day happen, but Devon + Victoria’s wedding showed 2020 who’s boss! They had perfect weather, stunning scenery, and all the love & happiness that a wedding day should be filled with!
