11 years ago, I was a Youth Group leader at Tri County Church and started with a new group of teen girls for the school year. Yesterday's wedding was beyond gorgeous with its rustic elegance in every detail. But the reason it was this photographer's dream to be a part of, was to be the one to capture a second daughter's wedding that held such meaning to the family. And at the end of the day, to be able to stand on the dance floor with the bride and her mother, watching our Reception Screening, and crying together at how much Rachel looked like her big sister Abby on her wedding day that we photographed 4 years ago. Yesterday's wedding with Michael & Anne was not only held in 2 gorgeous venues (Heinz Chapel and The Pittsburgh Athletic Association), but it also was filled with love, laughter, and family traditions! From standing on their chairs to kiss when guests cheered them at the Reception, every woman coming to kiss Michael on the cheek when Anne left the room during dinner, cutting TWO cakes (American & Danish), and cutting Michael's socks at the end of the night, so that Anne can prove herself a worthy wife by sewing them back together ;) If the traditions weren't enough to make your wedding beyond special, the constant love in your eyes for each other was!
